Window Sizing
You can change the size and look of the chat/messenger window in a several ways.
1. To do this, hover over the perimeter of the right side and drag it to the right. The chat window can take up as much as 75% of your screen if you'd like it to!
2. You can also make the channel/message list area larger by hovering over the sidebar perimeter and dragging it to the right.
3. Need to make the chat window shorter? Just hover over the upper perimeter of the window and drag it down.
Messages and Channels
Want to Start a New Message?
1. Click on the circular (+) icon at the top of the chat menu. Here, you're able to message one person privately or multiple people, and thus creating a group chat!
2. You'll find your list of direct messages in the bottom left of the chat window.
Making a New, Custom Channel
1. You can do that in SoWork too! First, click on the Channels area.
2. From there, select Create a Channel. You'll then be able to name your channel, select the visibility/permissions of the channel, and invite your teammates.
1. You can easily send videos, files, or pictures to your teammates using the (+) icon below the chat box.
2. From here, you'll be able to upload any videos or images of your choice. When folks send you a video, you can adjust the playback speed and play the video in picture-in-picture mode.
3. For both videos and images, you can leave an emoji reaction, start a thread below the image/video, download, OR delete them by hovering over the message. Cool, right?!
GIPHY
1. Another fun little tool - gifs! To explore these, just press the '/' key on your keyboard and select giphy.
2. From here, type the keyword for the gif you're looking to use and press enter/return.
3. Now you're able to send the gif, shuffle to the next gif option, or cancel the message.
Notifications - Mute/Unmute
1. If you ever need to mute/unmute your chat notifications, just head the Main Menu, and go into Settings.
2. From here, go to Notifications, and toggle as you see fit!
