Event Ideas

Workshops, webinars, conferences, office parties, hackathons, happy hours, community events, career fairs, collaborative work sessions, study groups, and anything else your heart desires!

Genuine conversation, real relationships, food, drinks, and music. With SoWork events, you can express yourself, escape Zoom fatigue, and build and participate in a fun, engaging atmosphere.

Customizations

Your event space is entirely customizable! With SoWork’s Mapmaker, you can decorate and set things up just the way you’d like. We have tons of party decorations to choose from, as well as items and decor that are specific to larger meetings and professional gatherings. We have podiums, signs, banners, balloons, and completely customizable walls and floors, too.

Event FAQ

What's your event pricing?

The first 10 attendees are free, then after that, it's $3/person/day.

What if I’m not sure how many people can attend?

Making an event booking for more folks than you’d expect is the best way to go!

How many maps/rooms can I have for my event?

As many as you’d like! You can start in one room, then move to another, and another…This is great for workshops or conferences where you’d need to have attendees in separate rooms for portions of your event (like a social area, webinar/workshop area, etc.).

How do I invite people to my event?

After registering your event with us here, we’ll share a link with you that you can send to your attendees for easy access!

What should I do at my event, or what’s the best way to run things?

Well this is entirely up to you, of course, but in SoWork, you’re able to mix and mingle, make announcements, have small and large group conversations, private conversations, set up booths for presentations, host Q&As, and use our food and drink interactions.

Do you have any ideas for games?

We have a selection of in-app games to choose from, as well as simple and fun scavenger hunt and trivia games to play. You can find these templates on our Team Socials page! Games like HaxBall, AmongUs, GIF Wars, and Gartic Phone make great game choices as well :)

Am I able to block, ban, or kick someone out?

Yes, absolutely! If you need to, you’re able to block/ban any user you’d like. We also give users the ability to set up space passwords for extra security.

Will our space get closed down right away after our event?

Not quite! We like to give event goers a buffer so they can end their event in the way they’d like to. There won’t be an abrupt end and you won’t get kicked out right away.
