Setting Up Idle Mode

Activating Idle Mode will disable your audio and video after a set amount of time (of your choice). This is helpful if you're working concurrently in other tabs and would like to keep SoWork open.

Here's how to toggle Idle Mode on/off and set your Idle Mode activation time.

1. Head down to the Main Menu.

2. Click on the Settings cog wheel.

3. Click on General.

4. In this menu, you'll see a checkbox that allows you to toggle Idle Mode on and off.

5. After toggling Idle Mode on, you'll then be able to choose the amount of time that passes before Idle Mode is activated.

6. When you're in Idle Mode, other folks in your office will see 'Zzz' above your avatar, but will still be able to connect to you if they'd like.

7. When you're ready to come back to your SoWork tab, just select 'Let Me In!' and you'll be able to function as usual!

Other States/Icons

💡Note: Besides Available/Unavailable/Idle Mode, there are a few other states that your avatar can be in. If you see the following icons next to someone's name in SoWork, here's what they mean!

🚫 - The user disconnected. This could mean they closed the SoWork tab, or that their internet went offline.

🔄 - The user is on their way into the Office and still on the video/camera screen after logging in.

🧘 - The user is in Yoga Mode! This only occurs on our free plan when you've reached your meeting limit and need to take a break before continuing.
