Here’s an overview of the different meeting types in SoWork, and how to engage in each one.
Spontaneous Connections
These are great for quick, casual chats with your team. Need to talk to someone? Just run over to them!
1. You can walk up to anyone in the Office you’d like to chat with, and if they’re Available, your video/audio will connect. For a recap on how to move around in SoWork, check out the How to Move Around article in the Getting Started area of our Help Center.

2. You can use your arrow keys to walk toward them or double click anywhere on the Office floor to walk there.

3. You can also use Minimap to locate the person you’d like to meet with and walk over to anyone in your Office that’s in the same room as you. Learn more about our Minimap feature in the Office Tools area of our Help Center.

4. Note, this meeting type can be joined by others in your Office, and isn’t locked/private. For for on Private Meetings, read on!

Private Meetings
If you're in a Private Meeting, you'll have a blue circle beneath your feet, and a lock icon beside your name. Others won't be able to walk up and immediately join - they will have to request to join your meeting, creating more privacy.
