I went to medical school, did some emergency medicine, then shifted to full-time startups to really have the impact on the world that I was looking for. I've been gaming since I was 3, and involved in software and hardware since I was 10. I love all animals.

It's Monday! But before I tell you what things we're gonna gift you, here's what our focus is for the next couple weeks - just so you feel more part of the #squad:

 In all its shapes and forms. And colors and sizes. We're turning over every stone to ensure we reduce CPU, RAM, GPU, and battery use on your computer when using SoWork - in the background or not.

 We're also turning over stones here. Stones will be turned. And you'll have a much nicer time on SoWork even in low bandwidth settings.

We sent out the bug hunters to squash everything in sight. And improve a bunch of UX of highly used features that were a bit too clunky for my liking. And your liking.

 Chat has been a super popular feature for many teams - we're continuing to improve it and that improvement will continue.

Now, with that out of the way, here's things for you this week:

Significant performance improvements. Drastically reduced GPU/CPU consumption when SoWork is active (by 10x literally. WOW!). Reduced CPU usage when SoWork is not active. Reduced CPU usage when the Minimap is active.

 to be a bit more readable. More changes coming here soon too. (Go to Main Menu --> Settings --> Performance).

we reduced the amount of data needed to load into SoWork so you can load faster on slow networks. Improved auto-handling of network errors. Adjustments to make meetings connect faster.

Chat now has a 'Drafts' section for when you get interrupted while typing a message! Also fixed bugs that caused some channels to appear to be read when they have unread messages, and that made some messages look like they came from 👽 the fuuuuture 🛸.

 You can now open a user's profile from a Chat DM. You can display a list of people in a group DM or Channel. Deleted messages now fully disappear. GIF button added. Image compression added. Badge numbers for unreads update properly.

 Fixed a bug that could set you to idle if you have multiple SoWork tabs open. Use the App people! Also fixed a crash that rarely happened when you looked at your Team Analytics.

 Visual overhaul of What's Happening, and a bunch of other UI and UX fixes around the App.
